Hi my name is Glen, owner and professional Dog Trainer for Smart Dog Pet Training LLC.
My story evolves around my love for all pets from an early childhood, growing up, training and beginning to understand how to communicate with them in a special way.
My partner you see there with me is my beloved Black Labrador Brandi who was rescued at 12-weeks and became part of my life when most needed. I am currently an AKC Evaluator and working towards receiving my CPDT-KA very soon.

Starting in-home private puppy training as early as possible will give your puppy a “Smart Start” without the stress of other dogs and people. Our puppy training classes in Salem are personalized for puppies starting at 8-weeks up to 6-months old.
Our In-home private puppy classes eliminates the worry of having to expose your puppy to unsafe environments and in the presence of other dog’s prior to your puppy getting all the proper vaccinations.

Hi, I’m Emma, and those are my dogs Toby, April, and Charlotte in the picture with me. All three are rescue dogs from different organizations around the country. Charlotte (the big one) has been with me since she was about 11 weeks old and is a certified Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Assistance Animal.
I have many years of dog handling and training experience in a variety of settings from working in a shelter as a technician, to working with foster dogs in a home environment. I specialize in working with fearful, timid, and traumatized dogs who need support and structure to learn that the world can be a safe and fun place.
I know that the key to a well-trained dog is a strong dog-human bond, and I’d be honored to be part of building that bond for you and your fuzzy family member!
Is In-Home Dog Training Right for You?
For older dogs, senior dogs and adopted and rescued dogs, group sessions may or may not be the right choice for your dog. Does your dog have a calm nature and gets along with other dogs?
If you dog does not do well with other dogs, on or off leash, is very excitable, or may have behavior issues due to a variety of reason, an adopted dog or rescued dog probably will not do well in groups sessions.

All of our dog training is taught by AKC evaluators offering the S.T.A.R. Puppy program, the AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) program, and the Urban Canine Community program.
Aggressive Dog Training with Experienced Trainers
Our Salem dog trainers have specialized training experience, certifications and knowledge in working specifically with all breeds and behaviors with shy or fearful aggression dog behaviors.
