I can't say enough good things about Smart Dog Pet Training, LLC and our trainer, Glen. When we first started training, Hope was very reactive and would not let people come into our home without barking and becoming very upset. Because I'm training Hope to become my service dog, it was important to find a trainer who understood our goals and could help us build a strong foundation. From our very first session, Glen took the time to get to know both Hope and me. He listened carefully to our goals, explained what was causing Hope's behavior, and created a personalized training plan with clear milestones for us to work toward. I really appreciated how patient he was and how thoroughly he explained everything. He gave us the confidence to continue practicing between sessions because we understood not just what to do, but why we were doing it. Over the six weeks, the transformation in Hope was incredible. He met every goal Glen had set for him, and we noticed a huge difference in his behavior. He's much quicker to settle down, easier to redirect, and so much more confident. We also feel much more confident as handlers because of everything Glen taught us. What impressed me most was that Glen genuinely cared about our success. We just completed a six week training with Glen and we are so pleased with results. Glen is kind and so patient with both us and our puppies. We have 2 dogs an older female and 1 year small bred male. We were struggling with constant barking with 1 year old, fighting with neighbor dog at fence. We also felt the 2 dogs just were not connecting. Since the start of training, Glen provided us with amazing articles and tools to train our dogs. We now have 2 amazing dogs, they listen in public, barking is so much better and walks are pleasure-able again. The dogs have also bonded and now play and sleep together. Glen was super helpful getting me set up with basic home etiquette for my 5 year old Aussie rescue. I hadn’t had her for long but was feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work she needed, and how smart (read: crafty) she is.
