Hi my name is Glen, owner and professional Dog Trainer for Smart Dog Pet Training LLC.
My story evolves around my love for all pets from an early childhood, growing up, training and beginning to understand how to communicate with them in a special way.
My partner you see there with me is my beloved Black Labrador Brandi who was rescued at 12-weeks and became part of my life when most needed. I am currently an AKC Evaluator and working towards receiving my CPDT-KA very soon.
Customized Puppy Training
Starting in-home private puppy training as early as possible will give your puppy a “Smart Start” without the stress of other dogs and people. Our puppy training classes in Salem and Albany Oregon are personalized for puppies starting at 8-weeks up to 6-months old.
Our In-home private puppy classes eliminates the worry of having to expose your puppy to unsafe environments and in the presence of other dog’s prior to your puppy getting all the proper vaccinations.
Is In-Home Puppy Training Right for You?
For older dogs, senior dogs and adopted and rescued dogs, group sessions may or may not be the right choice for your dog. Does your dog have a calm nature and gets along with other dogs?
If you dog does not do well with other dogs, on or off leash, is very excitable, or may have behavior issues due to a variety of reason, an adopted dog or rescued dog probably will not do well in groups sessions.

Hi! I’m Suzie & the gorgeous standard parti-poodle looking up at me is the light of my life, Hela. Hela is why I became a positive-reinforcement/science-based dog trainer. When we first began her training, I kept running into trainers that were traditional trainers & used methods that caused my very sensitive poodle puppy to shut down.
